HTM03-01 Compliant ventilation system for Solihull Endoscopy Decontamination Unit.
 
We recently completed the upgrade of the complete
ventilation system for the Endoscopy Decontamination unit at Solihull Hospital.
This turnkey project entailed the remodel of the decontamination department and the upgrade of the ventilation system to comply with HTM03-01.
We undertook to strip out the existing duct work and non-compliant AHU, remove a wall in the plantroom and fit additional steel work to allow for the installation of a new HTM03-01 AHU.
 
This project was completed on time and on budget with the help of the UK technical department at Halton Products. We were very happy to use Halton’s terminal HEPA diffuser units to provide clean air into the clean zone of the decontamination unit and the introduction of the Halton’s range of iris dampers which significantly helped reduce the time needed to validate and commission the whole system.
